What we have here is a 2-for-1, swap and play van set, some assembly required.These vans, "Mitsubishi Delica, L300" models, are incredible vehicles, and we have had more than a lifetime of fun in them. Life is changing for our family, and it doesn't make sense to run a small fleet of 30+ year old diesel 4x4 vehicles anymore. They are a 1990 and 1991. The 1991 was our camper, and has since been mostly gutted. It has a beautifully running 4D56T, 2.5L turbo diesel engine, with the injection pump overhauled by Stairs Diesel in 2019. With 298000km on the clock, it is getting to show its age and will require more time than what I can commit to keep the body acceptable for MVI. I went out and started the van at -8C this morning after 8 weeks without running, and the van started as though I had driven it yesterday. The 1990 is a Chamonix version, and we have had it 2 years. It was purchased with a trashed engine, and received a full in-frame rebuild, new radiator, water pump, timing belt, all the jewelry associated. It is a great van, but the injection pump was dialed in to over-fuel, and my greedy foot / lack of intercooler led to the head failure.You are getting 2 vans to combine into one. They are 30+ years old, and require someone who will provide them with love and care, which they certainly have had. Feel free to reach out with any questions and I will likely have an answer.
