2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring - loaded GLS Sport

My Elantra Touring is a top-of-the-line GLS “Sport” model, a trim that brought with it many features not seen on most Tourings, including 17” alloy wheels, fog lights, sunroof, and the top-line stereo with steering wheel-mounted radio controls. It also has the optional retractable cargo cover, which is a BIG plus in a hatchback! It of course has all of the standard Touring features like heated front seats, A/C, power windows and locks, etc. It is finished in a dark grey metallic, which I believe is a 2009-only colour. Okay, onto the nitty-gritty details! The pros: - Comes with good snow tires on dark grey Core Racing alloy wheels (see last picture) - Weathertech mats front and rear - Remote start - Washed and waxed regularly, so its (original) paint still looks very good - Oil guarded every year since I’ve owned it (I bought it in 2014): the body is very solid - Synthetic oil with NAPA Gold filters used at every oil change - All fluids recently changed (oil, transaxle, coolant, brake) - New rotors and pads all around - Brand new, high-quality alternator - Brand new Goodride tires - Most features work, including the sunroof and A/C (see “Opportunities for Improvement” for the features that don’t work) Opportunities for improvement: - Parking brake would need complete overhaul (~ $600 to do); I’m never on a hill and never use it so I’ve never cared, I fully admit! - Windshield wiper heater element does not work (hasn’t worked since the second week after I bought it… that’s its own story…) - All power windows work, but the driver’s control of the passenger front window does not. - It sounds like there is a small exhaust leak somewhere near the muffler. I’m selling the car as-is. The car will remain licensed and insured until sold, so any prospective buyer can test drive it on the open road.
