If you have ever wanted to restore your own Jeep CJ the way you think it should be, here is a great chance. These untouched CJ-2As are getting so much harder to find in Western Canada. This is one of a few projects my husband didn’t get to complete. He collected some things that will give you a great head start on the project, and a few extras to sell to help fund the project. It is a 1947, as is the engine. He said the engine was good but expected it would need some fiddling to run well. He was a mechanic, so I expect his evaluation was good. The engine stand is included. The Jeep itself is full of bits and pieces of Jeep stuff. I think they look really rough, but maybe they could be used for something. It appears there’s a transmission sitting there, but I have no information on it. I was pleased that there’s a key in the ignition. He also gathered some really solid body parts – windshield, grill/front fenders, hood and tailgate. This gives you the opportunity to potentially sell the replaced parts. Also included for extra fun and value are two manuals: Thompson’s Volume 16, and a Fourth Edition Willys Overland “Operation and Care of the Universal Jeep CJ-2A”. You can ask questions, but I probably can’t answer them as my knowledge is very limited. There are more pictures available if you send contact information. For specific photos, everything is under tarp/cover right now, so specific photos can be obtained but it’s not going to be a fast response. I have surveyed experts. The range of asking price suggested was quite frustrating. Apparently big factors are market and location. So I’m going to let the market decide the price.
