Testing the waters on my 2015 Ford Fiesta ST. If you are unfamiliar, these are the 1.6L ecoboost (turbocharged) 6-speed manual platform. The ST wasn't sold with any other option for engine or transmission (in Canada, at least) Body has 203,000km on it, the engine has 162,000km. Engine was replaced early on in my ownership by a legitimate shop, records available.Runs like a champ, always starts and has never let me down over the last 6 years and I've been all over Alberta with it. Mileage is almost entirely highway, as I live in Spruce Grove but work south-side Edmonton (40km one way). Original clutch is still very strong. Recent work includes rear brakes (rotors, pads, and slide pins), custom cat-back stainless steel exhaust, no rear resonator so it is reasonably loud but sounds good. Front axle seals recently redone as well. Regular oil changes with full synthetic. Recently replaced spark plugs and replaced cabin pollen filter. K&N air filter. Currently stage 1 tuned (Stratified tune) with a Cobb Accessport (included in sale). Tuned for 91 octane, so that's all it ever gets. Throttle response is mapped aggressive, but this can be changed. Tune can be removed entirely if desired. Still gets about 7L/100km in the summer (and about 8-9L/100km in the winter).Stock Recaro bucket seats, but rear seats have been removed entirely (tons of room for stuff in the back!). I still have the original rear seats. Three sets of rims- stock rims with summer tires, Ford SVT rims with winters (two need to be replaced), and a set of 16" steel wheels with brand new Hankook iPike RS2 fully studded tires that are currently mounted on the car (installed October 18th of this year). ADVANTAGES:-Well known history, as I've had it for a while now- Brand new studded winter tires (mounted on car)- lots of life left on brakes front and rear - Incredibly fun to drive, hauls ass- It's green- Great on fuel - Excellent winter driver (FWD, manual, and it's light. Never been stuck in snow)- lots of room for things in the back- Sounds great- Turbo noises - Excellent heated seats NEGATIVES:- body is not in the best shape. Front end of the car is pretty beat up from road debris, etc. Lower bumper is pitted. - windshield has some decent cracks - poor paint above rear wheel-wells-spoiler is the wrong colour (original one cracked due to previously installed wing-risers, which put a ton of stress on the plastic). Spoiler is less than a year old but was painted for different car. - small ding on passenger side front door -same door is missing interior door handle (broke off in minus 40 degrees two winters ago) - AC needs a recharge.I've never driven a more fun car than this. It's an absolute riot, handles extremely well, and hauls like a beast when the turbo spools (passing on the highway is a breeze). This is still my daily driver, so mileage will go up. Ultimately, this could be great base for a track/rally cross car for someone, or it could easily continue to be a daily driver.
