**Update Truck Is Currently Located In Westville**Well it’s time to sell the beloved “stinky” as my son calls it. A 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ extended cab. The truck is originally from Alberta, I drove it to Nova Scotia 2 years ago and have owned it since 2020. The truck has been great for me but I have purchased a newer crew cab for my growing family. The truck has just over 320,000 kilometres on the body and approximately 220,000 on the motor, see below for more information on that. The truck is currently located in Pictou County but I often travel to Sackville however I also work out west, arrangements can be made to view the truck when I’m away if need be. Asking $7500 and will not take offers over the phone. I’m a no BS kinda guy and expect the same, that being said I pride myself on being completely honest when selling anything so see below for the good and the bad. The Bad - Typical 2008-2013 Chevy rust spots (Also shown in pictures). Wheel wells, rocker panels, above the windshield, and on the front of the hood, as well as the odd rock chip here and there. Overall I would say the rust is not terrible but will need some body work down the road. - There is a dent on the drivers side quarter panel that was caused by my lovely girlfriend while shuffling cars around the driveway in a winter storm. - Besides the dent in the quarter panel there was also damage done to the drivers side mirror. This has since been fixed, and even comes with a spare passenger side mirror since the replacement I bought came as a set of two. - As mentioned above the truck does not have the original engine. I had to replace the engine after a significant knocking sound occurred in the original. Luckily my father works as a mechanic and was able to swap the engine for me with one that has roughly 100,000 less kilometres. However with getting a second hand motor your left trusting the junk yard with the amount of kilometres on it. - There are minor inconveniences that I noticed with the truck. For example the power lock on the drivers side door has stoped working. The wrap around the interior door handle has peeled and become sharp (I put duct tape on it). The power window switch on the rear door has come out of the housing and there is a small rip in the rear seat. - The tires don’t have much life left in them and will need to be replaced in a year or maybe two. The truck came with the 20inch rim option and I find they rub bad when taking sharp turns. Also the tires have been rotated recently but I did not recalibrate the pressure sensors and one of the sensors doesn’t work properly. Since they have been rotated I find there is a slight shake in the front end when getting past 120km/h likely due to uneven wear. The Good - Truck is originally from Alberta and although has some minor rust as mentioned the frame itself is in great shape and much more solid then other trucks I have seen in this year/body style - I am very good at keeping up with the maintenance which is easy to do with a dad that has a shop. However like any vehicle work needs to be done. Since I have owned the truck I have replaced the rear breaks and emergency brake cable, new u-joint, blower motor for the interior heater, starter, and new battery. - Newer engine with less kilometres than the body. Although the body does have high kilometres they are mostly highway (I know everyone says that) but if you have ever lived out west you would agree highway kilometres acclimate fast. - New rear bumper, tailgate, and drivers side taillight. - Posi trac rear end - Inspection is good for another year - Levelling kit, this was previously installed when I purchased the truck. - Tonneau cover- My personal favourite, the “old man” tanned leather and wood grain paneling. All jokes aside the interior is in good shape and has been cleaned regularly. Thats all I can think of to mention for now, but if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
